CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – If you’re heading east, tropical storm warning for southeastern Virginia and eastern NC with 3-to-6 inches of rain expected… the heaviest this evening and throughout Saturday morning. Wind gusts as high as 55 are also possible, and a 2-to-4 foot storm surge is also expected.

There is also impact expected for our area with rain… heavy at times… expected to move in late tonight with heavy, and possibly flooding rains, into Saturday afternoon.
Wind gust 30-to-35 are possible.
