LOUISA (WINA) – One teen is dead, and four others taken to an unidentified hospital with serious — but non-life threatening injuries — in a fiery Friday night crash in Louisa County. State Police say all five involved are 16 and 17 years old.
A trooper investigation reveals speed believed to be a factor when the 2006 Pontiac Torrent was traveling south on Bibb Store Road about a half-mile from Goldmine Road around 10:30 Friday night. The driver lost control, ran off the right side of the road, and the vehicle hit two trees and caught fire. One teen died at the scene, and the other four transported… one by medflight.
The driver was issued summonses at the hospital for reckless driving and driving outside of passenger restrictions.
