CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-WINA- For the second time this week, the Virginia Men’s Basketball team found themselves in a dog fight with an opponent they were heavily favored over.  The Cavaliers led by as many as nine points in the first half, but Notre Dame cut the lead to four at 29-25 heading into the half.  Notre Dame opened the second half playing well and took an early lead.  The teams battled back and forth for the majority of the second half and if came down to a final shot from Notre Dame as time expired, as the Irish who were trailing by two missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer and the Hoos escaped JPJ with another hard fought ACC win.  During the game, Virginia Senior Point Guard Kehei Clark became UVA’s all time leader in assists passing John Crotty.
