CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The continuing investigation in the the March 4, 2023 homicide of Justice Kilel at the Sunshine Mini Mart located in the city of Charlottesville has brought forth new charges obtained by Charlottesville Police detectives.
As a result, 20-year-old Nasir Floyd McGhee of Albemarle County has been charged with Second Degree Murder. He is the second person charged with homicide in relation to this case; a 17-year-old male juvenile was also charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
Prior to this charge, McGhee was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding in relation to the case. He has remained in continuous custody. This additional warrant was obtained and served after close consultation with the Charlottesville Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
