FABER (WINA) – State Police are investigating a fatal Tuesday afternoon crash on Route 29 in Nelson County just south of Route 6. It was shortly before 5pm when a southbound Buick Lucerne driven by 35-year old Christopher A. Murphy of Massie Mill ran off then road into the median. The vehicle then spun, hit a ditch, and overturned several times before coming to a stop in the northbound lanes.

Murphy, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

A passenger, 34-year old Jonathan C. Clark, also was not wearing a seat belt and was transported with minor injuries.
