WASHINGTON (WINA) – 5th District Congressman Bob Good says he, among the 8 that started Kevin McCarthy’s ouster as House Speaker, have written a letter to the House Republican caucus if they want to oust them from “conference” in choosing Jim Jordan as House Speaker… so be it. Good told The Schilling Show Jordan would be “the people’s Speaker” and he will be chosen.

Good says McCarthy — who won the Speakership in the 15th round back in January which was the most since 1860 — didn’t gain a single vote until the 12th round and the House should not adjourn until Jordan is elected Speaker. He said the House should stay and vote and vote and vote and vote through today (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday), and even Sunday if necessary “and elect Jim Jordan as Speaker”.

He claims no one in the conference is making a case against Jordan, as they made the case against McCarthy in January.

2nd District Virginia Republican Jen Kiggans has made 2-minute-plus video of a case she has against Jordan saying in a couple of weeks of discussion with him, she fears he would shortchange defense spending and not work to ensure there’s not a government shutdown. Kiggans said in a district that is home to the Atlantic Fleet, the master military jet base, and with thousands of military family and veterans, she could not vote for Jordan.
