RUCKERSVILLE (WINA) – A weekend long search near where a missing Ruckersville man’s car was found in Louisa County last week turned up no sign of him, and the family is asking people to check their dash cams for his white Toyota Venza. 31-year old Jake Fahlfeder was last seen 7pm last Tuesday in Ruckersville, and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office found his abandoned car Wednesday morning on Waldrop Road near Lake Gordonsville. However, the sheriff’s department didn’t realize it was Jake’s car until Friday, and that led to a weekend long search for him using canines and drones. There was no sign of him.
His sister, Kayla Sisk, has taken to TikTok and Facebook seeking help finding him called “Finding Jake Fahlfeder“. She says they found his phone in the car, but his keys and wallet were missing. She says he’s a fisherman, but he has a lot of places he went fishing and none were in the vicinity where his car was found.
Jake works in Arlington and Sisk says loves his job. They were both born in Fauquier County, and Jake frequently travels Route 29, so they’re asking people to check footage from their dashboard cams for his car. She says that’s for anyone along the 29 corridor, but also in Louisa and even into Spotsylvania and Orange counties and around Gordonsville.
Anyone who sees him or knows where he is is urged to call either the Greene County Sheriff’s Sgt. K. Schmitt at 434-962-2831 or the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office at 540-967-1234.
