CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville and Albemarle County are receiving more than $11.4-million from a state loan program out of an Affordable and Special Needs Housing fund. The money is going toward 10 projects underway by the CRHA, Piedmont Housing Alliance, Habitat for Humanity, Virginia Supportive Housing, and Community Services Housing groups. Some of the loans are for Phase 2 of Friendship Court; Southwood Phase 3 single family and townhouse projects; and Crescent Halls.

The Charlottesville/Albemarle portions are out of a total $52-million distributed statewide for 49 projects.
