CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – All four candidates for the Charlottesville School Board will be at the Jefferson School this evening at 6 for a candidate forum. The event is hosted by Charlottesville United for Public Education. The race is uncontested, but the 4 new members – Amanda Burns, Shymora Cooper, Chris Meyer and Nicole Richardson – will represent a majority of the 7 seats on the Board for their 4-year terms.

It’s the first time in almost 20 years that 4 seats are open and none of the candidates have ever served on the School Board. They will join current members Emily Dooley, Lisa Larson-Torres and Dom Morse.
