ORANGE (WINA) – The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force has busted ten in a major multi-county drug operation with arrests on twenty-four felony charges. Following a five-month probe, which is ongoing, authorities seized over $5 million in narcotics, including substantial quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana in Orange, Fauquier, Stafford, Loudoun and Mecklenberg counties as well as the city of Alexandria. Officers also recovered weapons and nearly $400,000 in cash.
Of that $5-million in narcotics seized, 4.3-million of that was more than 436,000 grams of marijuana.
The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is composed of law enforcement personnel from the Orange, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Culpeper, and Madison Sheriff’s Offices; Culpeper, Warrenton, Orange Police Departments; and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Culpeper Field Office.
