CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle Police, with help from the Augusta sheriff, have a 19-year old custody in a car theft in Albemarle. But the Augusta Sheriff has additional warrants for the suspect… Charlottesville resident Jonathan Sherman Barbour.

Albemarle’s criminal investigations division is working current and ongoing vehicle thefts throughout the county, and detectives obtained information of a stolen vehicle that Augusta deputies helped locate and stop. Right now, Barbour faces two counts of grand larceny motor vehicle theft in Albemarle, with additional charges in Augusta possible.
