CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle County is looking for public input in an effort to streamline development fees. County leaders say, right now, Community Development Department fees are found in five different ordinances in county code… and each ordinance uses different language and formats to state the required fees. As a result, there are a number of different fee categories and amounts that apply to a single transaction.

To cut down the confusion, a new and unified fee schedule will be in one location which lists all fees applicable to permits with cross-references to regulations that apply.
