CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – The dates for the 37th annual Virginia Film Festival have been announced from October 30 through November 3, 2024. Festival Director Jody Kielbasa says, ““We are excited to return this year following what was a truly extraordinary 2023 VAFF.”

A Film Festival release says they have launched their annual Call for Entries inviting filmmakers to submit their work for consideration for the 2024 Festival. Once again, all Virginia residents and students at Virginia schools are eligible to have their entry fees waived. The fees for non-Virginia filmmakers submitting by the Early Bird deadline of May 15 will be $30 for features and $10 for short submissions. Students outside of Virginia can submit a film in any category with a 75% discount.

Filmmakers will be notified of their entry status by September 17, 2024. For complete submission information and waiver codes, visit virginiafilmfestival.org/submit-a-film. All questions should be addressed to vaffsubmissions@virginia.edu.
