The 3A Narcotics and Gang Task Force, in conjunction with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, has been conducting an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics (METHAMPHETAMINE and FENTANYL).
As a result of the investigation, on Oct. 18, 2023, a search warrant was executed at a residence located in Ruckersville VA. Pursuant to the search warrant several items were seized, to include suspected FENTANYL and METHAMPHETAMINE. Also, as a result of the investigation one person was arrested.
Georgia Joyce Flowers who is a resident of Ruckersville, age 49 was arrested on the following charges:
2 counts of Code of VA 18.2-248 – Distribution of Schedule I or II (FENTANYL)
1 count of Code of VA 18.2-46.6 – Knowing and Intentionally distribute weapon of terrorism (FENTANYL)
Georgia Flowers was held without bond and transported to Central Virginia Regional Jail.
This is an ongoing investigation and further charges are pending.
The 3A Narcotics and Gang Task Force is comprised of members of the Virginia State Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Albemarle County Police Department, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration- Charlottesville post of duty.
