CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (July 26, 2023) —The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA Photo Calendar Contest has returned with a new twist. The contest is a fun and easy way to support the homeless animals of the SPCA while making your pet a star.
Parents of SPCA alums can submit their pet’s photo for a chance to win one of 13 coveted spots on the calendar. The pet with the most votes will be featured on the cover of the 2024 calendar. The next six cats and six dogs with the most votes will have their photos featured on the months in the calendar.
Adopters can also guarantee their pet’s photo in the calendar by reserving a special day. For a $15 donation, your pet’s photo will appear on the day of your choice (birthday, anniversary, adoption date.) Pets do not need to be SPCA alums for this portion of the contest.
New this year, the SPCA Board of Directors, along with Interim Executive Director Sue Friedman, will be matching donations made through the “Reserve a Day” portion of the contest starting July 27 and running through August 5, the final day of the contest. Each day a different member of the board will match donations up to $500, so participants can have their pet honored in the calendar while having their donation doubled.
Anyone interested in participating in the 2024 SPCA Photo Calendar Contest can enter their pet here. The contest will close on August 5 at 8PM.
