Nancy Virginia Odle Seal, 77, of Crozet VA died this February on the 20th 2024. Born on October 16, 1946, of Redhill Albemarle Co. Nancy was the daughter of Willard Lafayette Odle and Virginia Adelaide Walker. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Lester Franklin Seal Jr. who died January 14th.1993 Past owner of Sinclaire Gas later named the Crozet Exxon at the 4-way Monacan Mural underpass.
Nancy was a proofreader for law firm publishing, but her true passion was for the sea. She had dreamt of becoming an oceanographer, living by the ocean in Australia somewhere, however, those goals just were not in the cards for her, so she instead settled for infrequent trips to Oceans near and far and simply beachcombing the coast.
Nancy is survived by her only daughter, Lauralee Seal, and only granddaughter Olivia Seal, she is also survived by her 5 step-sons who were already well into their adulthoods with lives of their own way before Nankipoo was swept away by the dashing Mr. Seal. As follows in chronological order, Douglas Franklin Seal, Curtis Wayne Seal, Donald early Seal, Paul Weems Seal, and Timothy Reid Seal. Nancy is also survived by her two older siblings; daughter-in-law/sister June Seal of Crozet Virginia and brother George “Billy” Willard Odle of Charleston South Carolina. Last but not least her good family friend Dorothy Diamond Of Lynchburg Va. a special thank you to all her pilot club friends of Crozet Baptist Church, and her Shepards there Dr. Roy Thomas lll and pastor David Collyer.
