Reva F. (Pat) Medlin at 93 years old passed away in her home on February 23, 2024.
Born March 30, 1930, she was the daughter of William B. Kidd and Melissie Clemons Kidd. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Henry G. Kidd, her daughter Kathleen Moore Houchens, and her son Walter E. Moore.
Reva was raised on a small farm outside of Charlottesville. She worked at the University Lodge. She worked for UVA Environmental Services starting at the hotel for parents at Commonwealth Court. She finished her 36 year career at UVA Kluge’s Children Rehabilitation Center. She spent most of her retirement years at her home in Ruckersville. She enjoyed grandchildren and great-grandchildren coming by for visits. There were plenty of hugs and kisses to go around for them to remember the times they spent together. Reva was also a NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the race every Sunday.
Reva is survived by her children Joyce F. (Moore) Crenshaw, Ronald E. Moore, Preston D. Moore, Steven R. Glass, Stanley A. Glass, William E. (Gene) Medlin, stepdaughter M.Kathy (Medlin)Wood, 11 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, 12 great,great-grandchildren and one great,great,great-grandchild.
A special thank you to Esther (Sissy) Glass, Mike Wood and Kathy Wood. Your daily phone conversations with Reva over the years were very meaningful to her. She talked about the appreciation she felt for all of you on a daily basis and the joy in her eyes while doing so was very obvious.
