Mark was born to Jack Dryer and Rachel Mann in London, England on November 24, 1929, the eldest of three children. He graduated with a BSc from Raine’s Boys’ School in London, and served in the Royal Air Force from 1948 to 1951. Mark worked as a patent agent and was an active member of the Masonic Inventions Lodge.

Mark moved to New York in 1981. After graduating with a JD from Fordham University School of Law in 1984, he became a patent attorney for Pfizer Inc. where he was responsible for a number of successful medical device patents.

Mark is predeceased by his brother, Ben (Buddy) Dryer and his first wife, Anne Gorely. He is survived by his second wife, Margaret Dryer; her daughter Diana Knight and her husband Mark; her granddaughter Morgan Hayden and her husband Justin; his brother, David Dryer; his daughters, Hilary and Madeline; his son-in-law, Dave Baker; his grandchildren, Jamie Baker and his wife Emily, Jennie Zaccarelli and her husband Luca, Kees Bruggen, Bernardine Bruggen, and Ford Bruggen; and great grandchildren, Mia, Matteo, Freddie, Harry, and Dylan.

Services will be held at Hill & Wood Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m.
