Edna Mae Nagel, age 78, of Charlottesville, Virginia died on April 25, 2024 at her residence. Born on March 22, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of John Qualman Nagel and Gladys Mae Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Q. Nagel and Gladys S. Nagel and her brother, David Buhl Nagel.

Edna lived her life by her own rules and which she strongly believed in everything happens for a reason and to listen to your inner voice. She was hard working and an animal lover. She always welcomed others with open arms. She loved to sing, dance, and enjoy life to the fullest. She would always want to be remembered that way.

Edna is survived by her three daughters, Michelle Mae Hamilton of Brooklyn, NY, Kendra Mae Ramlochan of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Tiffany Marie Nagel of Charlottesville, Virginia along with five soon to be six grandchildren, Fiona Mae Jackson, of Charlottesville, Virginia, Kason Lee Douglas, of Charlottesville, Virginia, Shania Arlene-Lee Hamilton of Brooklyn, NY, Ramisi Ria Ramlochan of Charlottesville, Virginia, Jordan Preston Quan, of Charlottesville, Virginia, and the expected arrival of Aidan Edward-David Shifflett. With the two oldest grandchildren she was blessed to have great-grandchildren Trenton Lee Jackson, Aniyah Mae Jackson, and Kai Alexander Douglas.

There will be a private viewing and cremation for Ms. Edna Nagel for the family. The funeral service for Ms. Edna Nagel will be on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 550 Buck Mountain Road, Earlysville, VA 22936 that all who want to pay their respects are welcome to attend. Following her service, she will be laid to rest at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery next to her mother. Floral arrangements can be sent to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
