CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center located a 1000-A Cherry Avenue is temporarily closed due to broken glass in both lap and recreational pools. Per aquatic safety protocols, both pools are being drained and cleaned to ensure customer safety. The facility will re-open on Friday, April 26.

During the closure, customers can utilize Crow Pool for swimming and Carver Recreation Center for fitness. All aquatic programs have also been relocated to Crow Pool during the closure. Information regarding each facility and their hours of operation can be found below.
