LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – No. 11 Virginia (28-8, 11-7 ACC) hit six home runs in a 16-7 victory over Louisville (21-13, 7-8 ACC) on Sunday (April 14) in the series finale at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cavaliers scored 47 runs in three games against the Cardinals, matching a program record for runs in a three-game ACC series.

Luke Hanson had two of UVA’s six homers in the contest, his first multi-homer game of his career. He finished the day 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Harrison Didawick went deep for the 15th time this season and Henry Ford hit his third homer of the series. Eric Becker capped a standout weekend for the Cavaliers with his second homer of the series and finished the three-game set with nine RBI.

Reliever Chase Hungate was credited with the victory after pitching four innings of one-run baseball. He did not walk a batter and struck out a pair to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The Cavaliers win their second ACC road series of the season and take two out of three in Louisville for the first time since 2018. Virginia has won five of the last six games against Louisville and now own a 14-13 advantage in the all-time series.
