CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An outbuilding is destroyed, but no one hurt, in a Saturday afternoon fire caused by an unattended grill in the 2400 block of Old Lynchburg Road near the North Fork Hardware River. Firefighters responding to the scene around 5pm extinguished the blaze, but not before it fully consumed the building as well as two acres of woods.

Albemarle Fire says this is opportunity to remind the community to never leave your grill unattended. The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings, and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.
