CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police are investigating shots fired early this morning about 5 blocks from a shooting death a bit more than 6 hours earlier.
A UVa Community Alert says CPD was called shortly before 2am to the 300 block of 14th Street, which is near Sadler Street. Officers arrived and found shell casings, but no report of anyone or anything hit. The alert says witnesses report a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area immediately after.
This incident happened barely a half-mile from 12th and Grady where a man was shot to death around 7:30 Tuesday evening. No word whether these incidents might be related.
