CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Rayma’qua Antonio Nicholas pled guilty to the murder of Nicklous Pendleton at the Hardy Drive Apartment Complex in Charlottesville Circuit Court on April 1, 2024.
On February 22, 2023, Pendleton was driving his pickup truck on the 800 block of Hardy Drive when he was struck by gunfire, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash on Page Street. The 20-year-old Gordonsville resident was rushed to UVA Medical Canter, where he died from his wounds. His brother, who was his passenger, suffered a broken leg.
Nicholas pled guilty to both murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of murder. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM and faces up to 43 years in prison.
