LURAY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The 10-mile stretch of Skyline Drive that had to be closed in light of the Rocky Branks Fire reopened at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, with the blaze 80% contained. That after reaching nearly 1,000 acres.

At 3 p.m., Shenandoah National Park lifted its parkwide burn ban and opened all trails, as well.
