The Chief of Albemarle County Fire Rescue recapped fire prevention week activities and the importance of fire safety when it comes to your electric ion batteries in devices as well as a new federal grant that will allow the department to fund six more positions.  He also discussed the extensive training new recruits have to go through for approximately 12 months before they can serve as First Responders.
