CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A disturbance on an Albemarle County School bus resulted in a call to police Tuesday afternoon, an ACPD spokesperson confirmed to Cville Right Now.

At 5:19 p.m., ACPD responded to a report of a “disorder call” with an ACPS school bus at intersection of Lambs Ln. and Hydraulic Rd. ACPD deferred further comment to ACPS. ACPD said no arrests were made in connection with the incident. A school division spokesperson did not immediately have information available about the situation.

It was not immediately clear how many students were on the bus, or if it was leaving or arriving at the Lambs Ln. campus.

The Lambs Ln. and Hydraulic Rd. intersection sits at the front entrance to a road that serves Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, Greer Elementary School and the Albemarle Career Exploration (ACE) Academy, as well as a Boys & Girls Club location.

Albemarle County Public Schools serve about 14,000 students, and about 10,000 of those have requested bus service for the current school year, Director of Transportation Jamie Gellner told Cville Right Now in August. She said, on average, anywhere from 6,000 to 7,000 students actually ride county buses each day.
