CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – James M. Dooms, 67, of Waynesboro died at the scene of a single vehicle crash on Sunday at approximately 11:13 a.m on Spotswood Trail in Greene County, according to Virginia State Police.

Dooms was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and wearing a helmet, heading eastbound, 1.5 miles east of Skyline Dr.

“The motorcycle began to lose control and slowed rapidly.  The driver was ejected from motorcycle,” according to a VSP release. Dooms died at the scene.

The State Police are investigating the crash.
