CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Two masked suspects in a dark-colored SUV fled the scene of a shots-fired report on Hardy Dr. on Monday night, according to a University of Virginia Police safety alert.

According to UVA, Charlottesville Police responded to a shots fired call at approximately 7:24 p.m. in the 800 block of Hardy Dr.

Officers found shell casings in the area and located witnesses who reported two suspects, wearing masks, had fled the scene traveling eastbound on West Main St.

This is the third shooting incident on Hardy Dr. in the past two weeks. On Aug. 21, CPD received a report of shots being fired at 800 Hardy Dr., according to UVA. No injuries were reported but CPD Chief of Police Michael Kochis told Cville Right Now that a vehicle was damaged.

On Aug. 22, a 15-year-old girl was struck by gunfire, according to a CPD release, at approximately 1:51 a.m. in the 800 block of Hardy Dr.
