CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – The University of Virginia is again reporting a record number of applications for those wanting to become 1st-year Wahoos with close to 60,000. Of these, Dean of Admissions Greg Roberts says they expect to admit about 9500. That means more rejections and wait-listed students for the Class of 2027.
Roberts says the University actually admitted too many students last year, because more said “yes” to coming to UVa than expected. Resultantly they’ve admitted about 300 fewer early applicants this year… and they don’t want the same thing to happen this year as space is limited.
