CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police are conducted a death investigation in the 400 block of 7 1/2 St SW, the department announced on social media Wednesday. The preliminary investigation indicated no threat to public safety, nor any appearance of foul play. CPD declined to identify the deceased individual or share any other details.

The CPD’s updated post did include the message: “Our thoughts are with all those affected. If you or someone you know is struggling, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by call or text.”
