CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — 30-year-old Daquan Hoffman, who was wanted by Albemarle Police for a shooting in April and by Charlottesville Police for a shootout with an officer last month, turned himself into authorities without incident, ACPD announced Wednesday.
Hoffman was wanted in the county in connection to an April 25 incident near the 600 block of Lockesley Terrace that left one injured. Hoffman later was involved in a shootout with a CPD officer near Market Street Park on June 20.
Virginia State Police later cleared the officers involved in the shootout of any wrongdoing.
Hoffman faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder in the city and faces a felony charge of malicious wounding in the county.
