The Greene County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit,in conjunction with the 3A  Narcotics and Gang Task Force, has been conducting an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics (METHAMPHETAMINE).

As a result of the investigation, on Feb. 8, 2024, a search warrant was executed at a residence located in Stanardsville VA. Pursuant to the search warrant, several items were seized, including suspected METHAMPHETAMINE and OXYCODONE. As a result of the investigation, one person was arrested.

Diane Marie Woodward, 64, was arrested on the following charges:

2 counts of Code of VA 18.2-248  –  Distribution of Schedule I or II (METHAMPHETAMINE/OXYCODONE)

Woodward was held on a $3000 bond.

This is an ongoing investigation and further charges are pending.

The 3A Narcotics and Gang Task Force is comprised of members of the Virginia State Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Albemarle County Police Department, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration – Charlottesville post of duty.
