CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — Tylek Wade Burley, who has been sought by Charlottesville Police since last year for the shooting that occurred on June 14, 2025, was arrested in Richmond on Saturday, according to a CPD spokesperson.
The 28-year-old Burley was initially named as a second suspect in the shooting three days after it occurred on the 200 block of East Main Street, leaving a 30-year-old man shot in the leg.
Police were seeking Burley on charges of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and felon in possession of a firearm.
34-year-old Lorenzo McAllister was previously arrested and charged the morning of the incident, which occurred around 1:40 a.m., with reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a concealed firearm and discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school.
