CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — Albemarle County Police arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez of Charlottesville on Monday following a months-long investigation into a cyber tip.

The tip, which warned that potential child abuse material was being viewed in Albemarle, was received by ACPD from the Southern Virginia Internet Crime Against Children Task Force in January.

Rodriguez has been charged with one felony count of possessing child pornography and four felony counts of second or subsequent possession.

He is being held with bond at Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact ACPD’s Criminal Investigations Division or Crime Stoppers.
