CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — The Albemarle County Police Department arrested a 17-year-old male on Friday in connection with a drive-by shooting from nearly a year-and-a-half ago.
Officers responded to multiple reports of shot fired at the 1800 block of Solomon Road on Dec. 29, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m. Officers located a residence and vehicle that sustained damage during the incident and recovered multiple shelling casings from the scene. No injuries were reported.
The juvenile male was arrested on Friday as a result of ACPD’s continued investigation. He has been charged with maliciously discharging a firearm into an occupied building, attempting to commit malicious wounding, participation in a criminal act for the benefit or direction of a gang, firearm use in the commission of a felony and possession of a handgun or assault rifle under the age of 18.
He is being held at the Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center. No additional information has been released on the juvenile due to his age.
