CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A 24-year-old man wanted in connection with last week’s shooting on Old Preston Ave. is still at-large and the Charlottesville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
Kevin Desjuan Anderson is wanted on two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of a use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges stem from an April 17 shooting in the 100 block of Old Preston Avenue.
On April 17, CPD announced that a man and a woman were shot early that morning, suffering non-life threatening injuries.
CPD located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound after responding to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Old Preston Ave. at approximately 1:49 a.m. That victim was transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center.
A short time later, while officers were still at the hospital, a second victim, an adult female, drove herself there also with a gunshot wound, according to the release.
