CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An Albemarle County School bus was involved in a hit-and-run incident Friday morning, a division spokesperson confirmed to Cville Right Now.
Albemarle County Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a car and an ACPS bus at approximately 8:45 a.m. in the area of Crozet Avenue and Rockfish Gap Turnpike, according to ACPD spokesperson Logan Bogert. The driver of the car fled the scene of the accident.
The location is near the site of Henley Middle School and Brownsville Elementary School.
There 19 people onboard the bus at the time of the incident, all of whom were evaluated by Albemarle County Fire Rescue. No injuries were reported, Bogert said.
A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing, Bogert said.
