CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Someone shot into an occupied house shortly overnight on the 500 block of 7 1/2 St. SW, according to a release from the Charlottesville Police Department.

Police were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to respond to a report of gunshots. A bullet was fired into the window of house. The home was occupied but there were no injuries reported.

CPD had no suspect information to release. There was a heavy police presence in the area as investigators went over the crime scene.
