CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Similarly to Albemarle County, Charlottesville city assessments that were up by double-digits over the previous two years are back down into single digits… around 5% for residential and commercial properties, and new construction combined. Residential property values in the city are up a little over 5-and-a-half percent compared around 11-and-a-half percent last year and the year before. Commercial property assessment is up a little over 3-percent this year compared a whopping 12-plus percent last year, and just under 3-percent the year before.
Mailings of the new assessments started Tuesday, and more information can be obtained clicking here.
