CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville Police and the FBI report the situation at St. Charles Avenue has been peacefully resolved with the arrest of a man suspected in an East Coast prostitution ring. CPD says the FBI began negotiating with 42-year old Brian Lamont Turner — who had barricaded himself inside of a residence in the 800 block of St. Charles Avenue — after they tracked him down for allegedly posting hundreds of commercial sex ads for adult women in various cities in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

The FBI says, according to court documents, in February 2023, they received multiple reports from local law enforcement agencies identifying Turner and adult females suspected of engaging in commercial sex acts. The FBI’s investigation revealed an account on the commercial sex website SkiptheGames.com registered to an email address known to be used by Turner. The latest ads posted January 17 advertising commercial sex in Charlottesville.

Police say Turner specifically targeted female victims who had drug addictions, recruited them, and used their drug addictions to control them. They say Turner became the women’s main source of drug supply and threatened to withhold drugs from his victims if they did not complete their commercial sex dates or follow his directions.

In addition, Turner is known to possess a firearm and has used it  to compel his victims to follow his instructions.
