CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – In a declaration made by Mayor Juandiego Wade, the City Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2024, has been postponed until Monday, January 22, 2024. This decision was made with consideration to the safety of attendees as temperatures continue to drop and ice develops on sidewalks and roads. More winter weather is forecasted for Friday, as well.

The times for the January 22, 2024, meeting will remain the same: the work session will begin at 4:00 PM and the regular meeting will begin at 6:30 PM. All public hearings and other agenda matters previously advertised shall be conducted at the postponed meeting with no further advertisement. The speaker list for Community Matters will carry over to January 22, 2024.
