CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – A person is being treated at UVa after a shooting Saturday night near the Dairy Market. UVa Police say they got a call from the UVa hospital that a person had come in shortly before 9pm with an apparent gunshot wound. The patient reported the incident happened about a half-hour earlier near the Dairy Market in the 400 block of 10th Street NW.

A UVa Police reported the incident to Charlottesville Police, who are now investigating an aggravated assault. The patient was unable to provide a description of the suspect, but stated they drove away in a cream-colored vehicle.
