Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Center at Belvedere has launched a vibrant new exhibit celebrating the intersection of art and nature. Executive Director Melanie Benjamin shared her excitement on Morning News, announcing a unique collaboration between the Charlottesville Garden Club, the Mid-Atlantic Pastel Society, and the Art Guild of Greene County. “This is an amazing collaboration… two of my favorite things in the world, which are art and flowers,” Benjamin said.

Every two months, the Center showcases local artwork, but this week’s installation adds a special twist. Fresh floral arrangements created by the Garden Club are inspired directly by the art on display. “It’s so cool… it’s all fresh flowers,” Benjamin noted. The limited-time exhibit runs through Friday and is open to the public during the Center’s regular hours.

A reception will be held Wednesday, May 15 at 5:00 PM for community members to meet the artists and floral designers behind the exhibit. Benjamin emphasized the emotional impact of the experience: “You should try to be inspired every day… what a lovely kind of hat trick of healthy aging,” she said. With rainy weather in the forecast, she encourages visitors to “find sunshine and happiness” indoors through art.
