CHARLOTTSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The National Weather Service has us under a flood watch from 8 tonight until 8 Tuesday morning for heavy rains of 2-to-4 inches overnight… the most on the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge. That especially affects communities such as Nellysford, Crozet, and Stanardsville.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
