AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An Augusta County man is in custody on 25 sex charges.

Bobby Clinedinst, 25, resides in Churchville. He was arrested without incident at the Augusta County Courthouse on April 24, 2025, and charged with 21 counts of felony possession of child pornography.  He was also charged with four felony counts of sexual contact with an animal.

The arrest follows an investigation that began on March 20, 2025, when the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding the possible possession of child pornography. Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office initiated a comprehensive investigation which led to the discovery of digital evidence supporting the charges.

Clinedinst is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond. The investigation continues.
