CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – The City of Charlottesville has rescheduled its annual Eggstravaganza to Saturday, April 12, 2025, at McIntire Park, next to the Skate Park. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and remains free and open to the public.

Charlottesville Parks & Recreation announced the change from the original April 5 date, citing multiple large-scale events occurring the same weekend. The rescheduling aims to “ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.”

Egg hunts will begin at 10:45 AM and 11:15 AM and will be divided by age groups: 1–4, 5–8, 9–12, along with a sensory-friendly option open to all ages. Families are encouraged to bring their own baskets.

The event also features bounce houses, arts and crafts, food vendors, and a photo opportunity with the Parks and Rec Bunny. It is co-presented by Charlottesville and Albemarle County Parks & Recreation.
