FORK UNION (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A pickup driver from Henrico County is dead, and the driver of a Fluvanna County emergency vehicle seriously hurt after a Wednesday morning collision at Routes 15 and 6 in Fluvanna County. State Police say the emergency vehicle was heading north on 15 with its lights and siren activated when a Ford F-150 pickup pulled into the intersection from Route 6 and the emergency vehicle plowed into it. The emergency vehicle struck the pickup on the driver’s side the pickup driver, 61-year old Luis J. Sanchez of Henrico, died at the scene.

42-year old passenger, Marcus H. Guerrerro was transported to an area hospital. The emergency vehicle driver, 21-year old Virginia R. Davis of Waynesboro was transported with serious injuries, and 32-year old passenger Hunter C. Aimes was transported with minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
