WASHINGTON, DC (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The office of Virginia 5th District Representative John McGuire is now accepting applications for summer internships. McGuire says he’s welcoming two classes of interns to his office… some in DC and some in his district office in Lynchburg. Responsibilities include answering constituent phone calls and letters, researching legislation, attending hearings and briefings, and guiding Capitol tours among other duties. McGuire says interns will learn about the legislative process and other functions of a Congressional office.
