CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – The Chamber Business Women’s Round Table (BWRT) has named three local leaders as 2025 Women of Excellence, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the workplace and community. Awards will be formally presented during a luncheon on Thursday, March 20 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Hillsdale Conference Center.
Sarah Morton, Regional Executive Director for Workforce Development at Virginia Career Works – Piedmont Region, has been named the 2025 Woman of Excellence. Min Lee, Chief Operating Officer of UVA Medical Center, will receive the Distinguished Mentor Award, and Kimberly Sheffield, Director of Community Engagement at the Jefferson School Foundation, has been selected for the Emerging Professional Award.
This year’s keynote speaker is Allison Linney, owner and president of Allison Partners, LLC. The luncheon will celebrate not only the award winners but also all nominees, who represent a broad range of industries and impact across the region.
Nominees for the Woman of Excellence Award include Rachel Brozenske (Allison Partners, LLC), Ellen Christie (Easton Porter Group), Yolunda Harrell (New Hill Development Corporation), Hollie Lee (UVA Pipelines & Pathways), and Ann Thompson (MindSalt, Inc.).
Distinguished Mentor Award nominees are Nicole Hawker (Heart and Soul Fitness with Nicole), Dusty Lynn (Thomas Jefferson EMS Council), Joanne Peregoy (Monticello Air), Julia Roberts (Fulton Mortgage), Brookes Sims (Virginia Career Works Piedmont Charlottesville Center), and Sara Stone (Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA).
Emerging Professional nominees include Ellen Kanzinger (The Scrappy Elephant) and Erin Bishop (Chime Studio).
